I’m looking at all these webpages explaining how to install homebrew on your DS, and all of them, the people find it quite simple to drag & drop to the root of the DS memory stick. NO webpages have how-to guides for connecting the DS to your computer… the USB cable connects where the charger goes and fits quite nicely, the charger light comes on whenever I plug it into my computer.

How do I make it so I can store files on my Nintendo DS!

No "You Can’t" answers… because you can.

It pisses me off because all the websites seem it’s no big deal to put files on the root of your DS memory stick!

Please help!

Thanks A Bunch,
Matt

no… your doing it wrong, well i wouldnt do it taht way.

You need an R4 Revolution card.
I got one of Amazon the weekend for £30, it came with a 2Gb mini sd card.

basically, u put this sd card into the usb dongle provided, then plug this inot your pc and open it up.

The ‘homebrew’ kits already installed on it, i just created a folder and named it ‘games’ then i searched the web for some ds roms.

Downloaded them and unzipped them and then i drag n dropped the unzipped files into the newly created ‘game’ folder.

I then unplugged the usb and then inserted the mini sd card intot he R4 Cartridge which is the same as a normal DS game cartridge.

Then put this into my ds and turned it on.
Homebrew R4 pae opened up, i then choose applictaions, game folder and all the roms were there, i scrolled down to the game and started it up..

Ive managed to fit 20+ games onto this card, all top titles aswell… dont know how i manged to live without it.

I highly recommend it

Where can I find top of the line computer hardware? I need a resource that I can compare and tell me what all that computer talk means! I am a big gamer so knowing what graphics card or what processor would best suit me.

CybertronPC Intel Gaming PC – Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Processor, Dual 10K RPM SATA 150GB Hard Drives, Dual ATI X1900X 512MB Video Cards, 4GB PC5400 DDR2 RAM, Intel BLKD975XBXLKR Motherboard
This Intel Core 2 Duo gaming system has super fast components and a processor that is primed to take on anything thrown at it. Costs around $3,400.00 U.S.D. Then I added 4 gig of faster ram and a 6 terrabyte external hdd for backup… link 1 has 34 types of gaming machine. link 2 has 16 please look at both sites so you can make a good informed choice. There is also a wide price range avail hope this helps!

How do you have your computer on minimum power with the internet still on? My computer is Windows Vista. Add a step by step instruction or a link to one.

1. Open start menu and go to power settings and then pick the power saver option. Be aware that it takes away performance to save electricity

You see, I want to go into something that relates to computer hardware like fixing and building them. Once I finish college I want to go into the Computer Engineering field. For now though I want to know if there is any chance for me to get a job in fixing or building them as a first year college student.

In high school I did a work experience program (for school credit) at a local computer repair shop. It was done for no pay of course, but I learned quite a bit.

I’d recommend going to a local computer shop (not the shain stores like Staples or Future Shop, but a Ma and Pop shop) and and ask if you can do some job shadowing once a week or so on a volunteer basis. I imagine someone will want the assistance.

I learned a lot over just 6 months at the place I worked at, and I only put in about 1 hr twice a week.

i want to type theta into my computer (a windows) on microsoft word, how do i do this? i think you might like press alt then some number, but i forgot. also how do you type the degree sign? is there a website where i can find all of the signs that you can type in?

The way with alt works well but is around from the earlier days of Windows.
The easiest solution now is to click on INSERT in the top menu of WORD. When it opens a pull down list, click on SYMBOL. It will show you all those weird characters. Click on the one you want and it will insert it wherever you were when you went to INSERT.

I’m on a budget that’s ranging around 800 dollars and I was wondering what kind of hardware components are most likely the best for my price range. Processor, video card, hard drive, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and also Im looking to build my computer with gaming purposes in mind.

$800 is well enough to get you a decent computer.

Processor: Intel Core i5-750 (~$200) Amazing performance given its price.

Motherboard: Any P55 type motherboard around $150. This will usually offer 2 PCIe x16 slots. I usually recommend Asus or Gigabyte.

RAM: 4 GB DDR3 for starters. 8 GB if you can find a cheap kit. (make sure to get Windows 7, 64 bit)

Graphics: Radeon 5770 (~$150-170). Great midrange card which outperforms most of nVidia’s similar tiered cards.

Case/PSU: Antec 300 + Corsair VX550 (~$120 together). I’d recommend both as they make great cases and PSUs, but this is really all aesthetics, so its your call.

Hard Drive/Optical: Once again, but a huge factor, but I’d recommend the western digital caviar black 500 GB and any Lite-ON/LG drive.

Note, this doesn’t include monitor/speakers, etc. If you need to include that into your $800 budget, then I would drop to an Core E8400 build, or AMD build (and a Radeon 5750 if you really need to shave more money off).

I tried clicking properties and then settings tab. Where is the settings tab? Can you tell me how to make my computer screen smaller. I downloaded something and then the screen went huge!

Windows XP:
right click your desktop
click properties
then click the settings tab
then in the bottom left hand corner there should be screen resulotion setting, move the cursor over to the left and then click ok
the screen will flicker and should change the look of your desktop
click yes when your happy with it.

1024×768 is a nice setting, anything smaller than that and the writting will be huge.

Windows Vista is different again
right click the desktop
click personalize
click display settings
then change the resolution bar on the bottom
click ok
screen will flicker
click yes when it confirms that you are ok with this

all done

i have a mac and there are a few accounts on it. when you shut it down and then turn it on it automatically logs onto my account but my dad wants to change it so it logs onto his account. he is the administrator n the computer. how can i get it so his account automatically logs on when you start up the computer. many thanks

Automatic login: By default, Mac OS X logs you in automatically when you turn on or restart your computer. If your computer is in a secure place where no one but you can access it, that’s probably fine; otherwise, it’s wise to disable automatic login (so that the login window appears every time the computer starts up). You can do this in the Accounts preference pane: click the lock and authenticate with an administrator password; then click Login Options and uncheck Automatically Log In As. Or, in the Security preference pane, simply check the Disable Automatic Login checkbox. In general, laptops should always have automatic login disabled; for other computers, the choice depends on whether anyone you don’t completely trust has physical access to your computer.

Today,i notice my computer was acting slow,so i did a check up and found 7 trojan and 1 virus.Im asking how did i get this i only used yahoo and 2 other websites, but i enter 5 websites about news,i don’t know if it was from there. What can trojan to do your computer?and what is trojan? How didn’t my protection notice it earlier?at least it found them and removed them when i did the check up.

A trojan can do just about whatever it’s creator / controller wants it to do. You could easily have picked them up from news searches (rather than real news sites) especially if searching for anything to do with bin Laden. Every time there’s a big news story there’s malware masquerading as news. Out-of-date software such as old versions of Flash Player, Java, Adobe Reader can also have loop holes so you need to check for updated versions.

Your anti-virus program should have stopped them getting on your pc, maybe you need a better one. The Avast freebie is pretty good.
