two yahoo on my computer

There is only one Messenger program to download, but it can be used for separate Yahoo identities. Do NOT click the ‘Remember my ID and Password’ box! Sign in with either account, but they cannot both be open at the same time.
You might investigate Pidgin and Trillian IM services to see if both could be available at the same time, but I doubt it, not even in separate browsers.

I have 500+ photos & videos on my iPod and i have no idea how to get them on my PC. I’ve sent a few photos from my iPod to my email then saved it onto my computer but my email just SUDDENLY stopped working.
So , could you please explain to me what do to transfer photos from an iPod Touch to a PC ?
Thanks a bunch (:

when you connect your ipod to your computer a dialog box should popup and ask you what action should be taken, click on view folders or double click on view folders and a folder with your pictures should open up. Then you can copy your pictures to your picture folder on your computer.

ask for your videos on your ipod, if you didn’t purchase them through itunes you cannot transfer them to your computer, unless you already have them saved to your computer

I have always wanted to learn about upgrading graphic cards and other stuff but i am always afraid that doing this will screw up my computer. I have lots of dare devil friends who spent lots of money on computer hardware but spoil the whole computer. One of my friend even had his computer exploded when he tries to upgrade his hardware manually.

You might try taking a class at a technical college. I’m taking a computer hardware class and when you do so, you don’t have to worry about screwing up a computer, it becomes part of the learning process.

I just barely learned from a computer wiz from my oop class that the government prevents sale of certain hardware that is impossible for them to decode. Anyone here a computer wiz at this as well?

Mostly it’s a matter of what you’re using it for. I don’t believe there is any computer hardware which is "illegal" in itself. This doesn’t include anything homemade specifically to commit illegal acts.

Say you get a top-of-the-line color printer. That’s not illegal. Now you print out money with it. That’s illegal, especially if you print it out so well that it looks pretty darn close to real money.

Just keep to the legal stuff and you’ll have nothing to worry about. Or don’t get caught. Up to you.

Hope this helps!

Peace to you and yours,

Hey,

I need to upgrade a few parts in my computer, now I’m looking for a good website/online store of computer parts and accessories in Canada with, preferably, free shipping option, good deals and promotions every now and then.

Could you suggest me of some good places to buy computer hardware?
Thank you in advance.

>The best place on the net, bar NONE, is Newegg. I have done all kinds of price quote checks on the net and Newegg almost always beats everyone else out on price. Fry’s electronics sometimes has newspaper deals that even Newegg cannot beat (due to shipping cost etc)…Tiger Direct tends to be more expensive, has a weirder way of finding products and I found their shipping sometimes to be irratic (when I ordered something, their system did not register my order!). So for consistency, fast response, backup and return policy AND price, Newegg is the best. Little wonder! Newegg was the very first ON LINE store to sell electronics an computer parts…they have been around longer than anyone else since they sold out their brick and mortar stores 15 years ago.

I want the weather, pictures, etc, basically everything turned on for Google Earth, but my computer can’t handle it.

What hardware updates do I need? A faster processor? More RAM?

Minimum:

* Operating System: Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista
* CPU: Pentium 3, 500Mhz
* System Memory (RAM): 256MB
* Hard Disk: 400MB free space
* Network Speed: 128 Kbits/sec
* Graphics Card: 3D-capable with 16MB of VRAM
* Screen: 1024×768, "16-bit High Color" – DirectX 9 (to run in Direct X mode)

Recommended:

* Operating System: Windows XP or Windows Vista
* CPU: Pentium 4 2.4GHz+ or AMD 2400xp+
* System Memory (RAM): 512MB
* Hard Disk: 2GB free space
* Network Speed: 768 Kbits/sec
* Graphics Card: 3D-capable with 32MB of VRAM
* Screen: 1280×1024, "32-bit True Color"

Hi everyone. I am currently planning on building a new computer. I am wondering what hardware I need to get driver updates for (first time building a computer). I know you need to update the motherboard and the graphics card. What else? Thanks everyone.

As far as updating components it shouldnt be too difficult, especially if your building a new pc. If you OS is Vista, just try picking components that are compatible and it should work fine without any updates. And so on for any OS.

Also, I’m a fan of "if its working right, why update?". Sometimes updating a component can make it worse rather than better.

I don’t know much about fixing hardware but know the basic parts like the mobo, hard disk, and others. I do not even know how to build a computer.
Is there a specific error code or sound that the computer displays during a hardware failure?

In 80% of the time the only problem that might happen for a computer is the Hard Drive.

Because Hard Drive is the only high speed moving part spinning at 5400RPM -15000RPM (depends on the type and model) and if you change the hard drive even after 5 years and put a new one, your computer might last longer. Other problems such as CPU fan or Power Supply Fan getting very dusty so the system could not breathe, that is another PC killer problem, So make sure your computer is always dust free.

Hi all,
I would like to know if any one knows where I can obtain computer hardware that is useable, I would prefer if it was free to obtain. The machines will be fixed and sent to various African charities.

Thanks for you help.

I’m not sure where you are from. In Ireland, we have the WEEE directive implemented so people can recycle electronic products at electronic stores.

You could go to your local Pc World or other computer store and ask them do they get many returned or if they could give them to you when they are returned and if not where do they send them and then contact those people.

I imagine the same thing exists in the UK since it is an EU directive.
