Learn Heaps About Computers

Does anyone know any schools in London providing Computer Training in a short time but accredited and certified. You know, the main programs in order to get an office Job as a Receptionist, Data Entry.
Secretary training as well in a short term?

I know my way around a computer but need to update and refresh my skills.

Nothing online, I prefer being at the class itself and interact. I know there are many schools not acredited by the Education Department…I do not need that, it has to be an acredited school.

Do a CLAIT or ECDL Course at your local college.

I did a CLAIT Course, it cost me £30 for 100 hours of classroom time. There was a teacher on hand at all time, the students could work through the material at their pace.

For the first CLAIT you have to show that you can switch a computer on and off, and do ‘basic’ things in 3 software packages – I choose Word, Excel and Access (Databases). There are 3 CLAIT Courses – Begineers, Intermediate and Advanced. There are 2 ECDL Courses.

At the end you walk away with a certificate from the OCR RSA Examiners.

I am a math major and have heard that programming knowledge is essential for most jobs in mathematics. I am taking a computer science course over the summer, and plan to take at least one more, but should I think about taking even more than that? Does anyone have any experience as a major major and know how much computer science would be advantageous in the career world?

I think it depends on which type of math career you take having a minor in CS would be a huge advantage regardless. You would have the opportunity to take software jobs (many math majors become software developers) and that market continues to be hot while the economy is still weak overall. Having programming knowledge is essential if you want to go into banking and do financial engineering as well.

As far as classes, start with the core programming classes (Java, C++, etc) as well as a scripting language if possible (Python, Perl, Shell). Ruby is very popular now as well. If you think you may want to do hardcore programming, knowing computer science is essential so delve into courses such as operating systems, algorithms, compilers, etc.

I don’t think you can go wrong with picking up more CS courses!

I have saved a world on minecraft in the browser version on my PC. When i tried to play it in the browser version on my laptop, it doesn’t show up. I tried using the %appdata% from the run command, and it won’t show up. However, when I saved a world from the desktop version on my laptop, it appeared in the %appdata% folder. How would i get it to do that for the browser version?

if you have hidden files visible, it should be in your C: drive, find the AppData folder, find ".minecraft" and in that folder, there should be a "save" folder or something to that affect, just copy the worlds save file onto a flash drive and place it in the same folder on the other computer

I have used this software before where it finds all the hardware in your computer including network adpaters and tells you what you have. Whats it called?

You can print it as well.

Press win key > type in System and click System Information. It’s awkward but you can get a list of what’s on your computer, and able to print it.

I live in Dawson city yukon,they are limited in computers courses.I learned a lot on my own but the courses here you have to take other stuff which is not pertinant to computers.I can’t move to go to a college,because of commitments.one of the people here at the college has asked me to see what is available eg; from beginner to computer tec online for people that they could teach at the college here which is feasible, any sugestions.

Grantham University’s online degree in Computer Engineering Technology is not bad, but it is not ABET-accredited, so you should consider this degree terminal.

All I can say is that I found their training materials very easy to follow. Just to let you know, I have definitely fallen for some scams in my time. But I have already made about $4000 back, just working part time. It’s not a fortune, but it has definitely made my life easier.
